Theatre Book Club Rozencrantz and Guildernstern are Dead
About the Play
“One of the most original and engaging post-war plays” Daily Telegraph.
Taking place in the wings of a production of “Hamlet”, this play is a humorous, poignant take on the ill-fated, barely mentioned lords of Shakespeare’s great theatre piece. Staged by the National Theatre in 1967, the play brought fame to its playwright, Tom Stoppard. A classic in its own right now, “Rozencrantz and Guildernstern” is packed with wit, stagecraft and verbal verve.
Everyone over 16 welcome.
