Meet your yoga teacher – Meleasha Carbado

Meleasha is a warm and supportive yoga teacher who creates a space for students to connect with their body, mind, and each other. With a background in Gentle Flow, Hatha, Restorative, and Vinyasa, she teaches a range of classes across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire as well as at festivals and gatherings across the UK. She focuses on mindful movement, breath awareness, and cultivating a sense of calm.

Trained in Rishikesh, India, Meleasha integrates ancient breathwork with both traditional and innovative movements to deepen presence and awareness. Her classes aim to help students find balance, build strength, and foster a sense of belonging, both on and off the mat. Believing in the healing and joyful power of movement, the focus of each session is to have students finish with a smile on their face and a spring in their step.

Meleasha offers a safe, inclusive environment where students can explore their practice at their own pace, with a lighthearted approach to building flexibility, mobility, peace and joy.

Restorative flow yoga: Restorative Flow is a calming and mindful practice designed to promote relaxation, ease, and overall wellbeing. Suitable for all levels, the pace is slow and deliberate, allowing you to focus on deep breathing, mindful movement, and the connection between body and mind. Poses are typically low-impact and modified to suit individual needs, with emphasis on comfort rather than intensity. This class moves through smooth, flowing postures, taking time to pause and be present. A form of movement meditation, perfect for those wanting to unwind and increase their range of motion in a nurturing environment.

Sunrise yoga: The perfect way to start the day. Set to the peaceful energy of the early morning, together we will first explore slow, gentle movement and breath awareness as we softly wake up and warm the body. We will then move on to slightly more dynamic stretches aiming to fully awaken and generate warmth before slowing down again and enjoying a restful meditation at the end. Led by you and with modifications for each pose, this session is perfect for all levels. It offers an opportunity to connect with yourself and set an intention for the day, cultivating a sense of peace and rejuvenation as the sun rises.
