Summer 2023 Writing Workshops
Join us this summer at The Whitaker for a range of writing workshops
Thursday 22 June, 6.30- 8pm - Create with Caroline: Book Binding
In preparation for our upcoming summer writing workshops, come and learn the art of book binding ,and create your own notebook to take home. All materials are provided. These include real leather but a vegan alternative is available.
Saturday 22 July, 11am - 1pm - Beginning To Write with Sara Sherwood
Join writer Sara Sherwood for a creative writing workshop exploring tackling barriers to writing, quietening the inner critic and learning to write with joy.
Suitable for those who are new to writing and those wanting to reignite their writing practice.
Saturday 19 August, 11am - 1pm - Place-writing workshop with Helen Angell
Join poetry and non-fiction writer Helen Angell for a place-writing workshop drawing on the past and the present. The workshop will take the ‘Travels Through the Valley of Stone’ exhibition as its starting point in thinking about seemingly ordinary places and their meaning for us. Bring a photograph, old or new, of somewhere important to you.
No writing experience required.
